Dear Vendor,

The LIFE Foundation, in conjunction with the Cross Plains Parks and Recreation Department, is once again sponsoring the Cross Plains Farmers Market this summer. We would like to thank Jen Wankerl, LIFE Foundation member for managing the Farmers Market since its beginning, but, unfortunately, Jen is moving to Iowa. I will be attempting to fill her big shoes, and am dedicated to making this the best Market in the state! I welcome your input and expertise and appreciate your ideas for achieving a well-attended market.

The Market will be open every Wednesday from 4 pm to 7 pm starting on June 6th. There will be NO Market on Wednesday, July 4th. The final market is scheduled for August 29th. The Market will be located at the corner of Hwy 14 (Main St.) and Hwy P. This is a new location, a big lot with excellent visibility and a prime location to attract homebound work commuters as well as local residents. We thank Kalscheur Dodge Chrysler Ram for donating this space.

Prospective Farmers Market Venders can find an application and policies enclosed. Applications are now being accepted. All locally produced goods will be welcomed. Venders who purchase the full season will be eligible for a market vendor fee rebate at the end of the season. Market sites are determined by the Market Manager on a first-come basis so sign up early. Occasional Market venders are also welcome based on availability.

To attract customers to your booth, we will recruit musicians and offer weekly activities for the children so that the parents can shop your wares without distractions. Some of the planned activities include face painting, sidewalk chalk, badminton and juggling. On Wednesday, July 18th, we will be having an Arts and Craft Market along with the Farmers Market. To encourage repeat customers, we will offer them an incentive. Frequent shoppers will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing on the last Market Day (August 29th) to win a gift basket of goodies and gift cards.

Thank you for considering our market. We would be proud to have you represent our Farmers Market. Feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions.
